Step into meaningful work rooted in culture, connection, and craftsmanship.

At Your PRANA Mineral Gallery, we create and share taonga - jewellery, pounamu, crystals, and minerals - each carrying story, wairua, and intention.

From the workshop to events, our work connects people with pieces that often arrive at pivotal moments in their lives.

If you feel drawn to purposeful work, learning deeply, and selling with heart, you may feel at home here.

Explore our current opportunity below.

APPRENTICE & SALES EXTRAORDINAIRE
Step up. Learn deeply. Sell with heart.

At Your PRANA Mineral Gallery, we don’t simply design, create, and sell jewellery and pounamu.

We hold stories.

We carry wairua.

We connect people with taonga that arrive at pivotal moments in their lives.

We are seeking one exceptional human to step into an Apprentice & Sales Extraordinaire role - someone confident in who they are, deeply curious, culturally respectful, and genuinely excited by growth, learning, and heart-led sales.

This is not a casual retail role.

And it is not for everyone.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR:

This role will feel aligned for you if:

You are confident in your abilities and hungry to learn more.

You're naturally curious and love expanding your knowledge.

You enjoy connecting with people and can read the room/energy with ease.

You can guide someone toward a decision - with integrity, not pressure.

You respect Māori culture and feel drawn to learning (or deepening) kōrero, tikanga, and meaning.

You're reliable, grounded, and show up consistently.

You thrive in busy, fast-paced environments (markets, expos, carving days, events, long days on your feet).

You are passionate about life, growth, and becoming more of who you are.

You do not need to know everything already. That is where the apprentice journey begins. However, you do need a genuine desire to learn deeply, contribute meaningfully, and grow alongside the business.

WHO THIS ROLE NOT FOR:

This role will feel misaligned if you:

Want low-responsibility or a slow pace.

Prefer minimal interaction with people.

Avoid sales, leadership, or decision-making.

Struggle to follow-through consistently.

Feel closed to feedback or personal growth.

Want to “clock in and clock out” without presence.

We fiercely protect the integrity of our taonga, our customers, our kaupapa, and our energy - always.

WHAT YOU'LL BE LEARNING:

As an apprentice, you will be guided through:

The meanings and stories behind pounamu carving forms and jewellery designs.

The energetic and geological foundations of crystals and minerals.

How to read customers and support them in choosing what feels right.

How to sell with confidence, honesty, and integrity.

Market and event flow - from setup to pack-down.

Holding space for meaningful (and sometimes emotional) purchases.

The day-to-day rhythm of running a heart-led creative business.

Foundations of designing and creating pieces of artwork.

This role is learning by doing - observing, listening, asking questions, refining, and growing.

THE SALES SIDE (Yes, This Matters):

Sales is a core part of this role - and we are very clear about that.

However, this is heart-led sales, grounded in:

Storytelling

Listening

Trust

Confidence

Connection

There is a base + commission structure, with uncapped earning potential for the right person. Your personal growth, confidence, and knowledge directly support your income.

WHERE YOU'LL BE WORKING:

Indoor and outdoor markets

Events, expos, and pop-ups

In the workshop

In the office

Some office/admin tasks (can be completed from home)

Occasional behind-the-scenes support

THIS ROLE CAN INVOLVE:

Long days

Being on your feet

Busy, high-energy environments

It is deeply rewarding work - which requires presence, stamina, and heart.

BONUS ALIGNMENT (Not Required, But Powerful):

You will be especially aligned if you have:

Confidence or interest in te reo Māori (spoken ability is a bonus).

Existing knowledge of pounamu, tikanga, gemstones, or jewellery.

A genuine devotion to cultural integrity and storytelling.
